I find it very strange that military personnel are barred from looking at classified information that is being reported all over the world in the media. I suspect that the real reason for that peculiarity is that some people within the US are very concerned that armed forces’ personnel; they having some inside knowledge already; would by means of the additional information contained in the ‘leaks’ be enabled thereby to connect the dots as regards various criminal operations that went on in various war theaters where they were posted. Vast sums of money went missing in Iraq and much of that was under the control of senior military personnel. And it is most curious indeed that Bradley Manning was told to shut up, and continue to round up people for passing out political pamphlets that read; “Where did the money go?”, he having just informed his superior officer that those people were being inappropriately arrested as insurgents for merely complaining about all the money that was going missing on Prime Minister Maliki’s watch. Yes it is amazing, is it not, just how much money can go missing when you have crooked politicians; and corrupt officers, and greedy contractors working in collusion; to rip off, not only vast sums of money belonging to the Iraqi people, but also truckloads of funds, American taxpayers’ dollars; that also ended up vanishing just as mysteriously.
i had an interpreter read it for me… and when i found out that it was a benign political critique titled “Where did the money go?” and following the corruption trail within the PM’s cabinet… i immediately took that information and *ran* to the officer to explain what was going on… he didn’t want to hear any of it… he told me to shut up and explain how we could assist the FPs in finding *MORE* detainees… –Bradley Manning
