Angela Richter, (Director, herself) Melanie Kretschman, (Anna Ardin, Julian Assange) and Iris Minich (Sophia Wilen) discuss their roles in the controversial play about hacktivism and Wikileaks, which includes a 6 minute sequence about the events which took place in Sweden taken from the police interrogations of all three individuals. The three women discuss their personal views on rape culture and feminism, as well as the choices they made in how that was implemented in the theater play. Unedited, raw video. The interview was shot in the cafe at Brut in Vienna, where ‘Assansinate Assange’ played between October 20-23, 2012.
ASSASSINATE ASSANGE is based on Angela Richter’s research on the subject of hacktivism as well as on meetings and interviews she carried out with Julian Assange in 2011 and 2012.
